What this code covers
STA support hours on a Sunday, any time of day.
Short Term Accommodation, which most families still call respite, covers a participant staying away from their usual home for a stretch, support included. From July 2026 the claiming model changed completely: instead of one bundled day rate, you now bill the support hours you actually work under these hourly codes, and the accommodation itself under separate per-day codes.
The hourly caps match the personal care set, so the same day and time splits apply: daytime, evening and night on weekdays, flat rates on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, and a sleepover code for nights where you sleep at the accommodation.
What changed at 1 July 2026
Before 1 July 2026, STA was claimed under bundled per-day codes (01_051_0115_1_1 through 01_062_0115_1_1) that rolled support, accommodation and food into one figure at a set staffing ratio, from around $872 a day at 1:3 weekday up to $4,270 a day at 1:1 on a public holiday. Those codes are now on the legacy list with an end date of 30 June 2027, so agreements written against them need to move to the new unbundled codes before then.
